Who Am I? A Reintroduction.
There’s something a little strange about writing an introduction when you already exist in so many corners of the internet.
Some people know me from theatre.
Some from social media.
Some from a random Reel that found its way onto their feed at just the right time.
But if you’re here, on this corner of my site, we’re starting fresh.
So, hi. I’m Elizabeth Gentry.
I’m a digital content creator and marketing professional currently serving as the Assistant Manager of Marketing & Communications at Theatre Under The Stars in Houston. At my core, I’m someone who loves bringing stories to life online in a way that feels human, engaging, and just a little bit unexpected.
What I Actually Do (Beyond “Posting”)
A lot of people hear “social media” and think content calendars and captions.
And yes, that’s part of it.
But my work lives at the intersection of strategy and storytelling.
I manage both organic and paid digital efforts for TUTS, which means I’m thinking about:
How we show up to our audience every day
How we grow that audience intentionally
How we convert attention into action
And how all of that supports a much bigger organizational goal
Some days that looks like building out campaign strategy.
Some days it’s capturing content in real time.
Some days it’s analyzing performance and adjusting course.
And some days… it’s convincing a room full of people to try a Reel idea I swear will work.
One of the things I’m most proud of is co-founding a “Social Media Support Group” for regional theatres across the country. What started as a few conversations has grown into a network of teams sharing ideas, problem-solving together, and collectively finding ways to elevate the arts through digital storytelling.
It’s collaborative, scrappy, and incredibly special.
My Creative Approach
If I had to describe my style in one word, it would be: maximalist.
I love color. Texture. Movement. Personality.
I’m drawn to things that feel layered and alive, whether that’s in what I wear or what I create. That instinct carries directly into my work. I’m always looking for ways to push beyond the expected and make content that actually makes someone stop, feel something, or lean in a little closer.
Because good content doesn’t just inform. It connects.
What Drives Me
Beyond the work itself, I care deeply about the spaces we create, both online and offline.
Mental health is a huge part of my life and my perspective. Learning how to care for my own well-being, especially navigating OCD, has shaped the way I approach creativity, productivity, and community.
It’s made me more intentional. More empathetic. More aware of the impact our work can have on the people experiencing it.
I want the content I create, and the environments I’m part of, to feel supportive, thoughtful, and human.
A Few Things That Make Me, Me
I will never say no to a conversation about 2000s Disney Channel.
Hannah Montana. The Jonas Brothers. Wizards of Waverly Place.
If it aired between commercial breaks on Disney, I probably have opinions.
And yes, seeing the Jonas Brothers live at the Houston Rodeo absolutely lived up to expectations.
Let’s Connect
If you’re a content creator, a theatre lover, a marketer, or just someone who enjoys talking about the internet like it’s a living, breathing thing, we’ll probably get along.
I’m always interested in meeting people who care about what they do and how they show up in the world.
So feel free to reach out, say hi, or tell me what we have in common.
There’s a good chance we’ll find something. ✨
